It’s no secret that modern M.2 NVMe SSDs, in particular, get hot when in demanding use, so the speed of the drive has to be slowed down. The sophisticated design of the cooler consists of a front cover and a backplate as well as two matching Minus Pad 8 high performance thermal pads. Note that the Thermal Grizzly M.2 SSD Cooler is only compatible with one-sided, 22-millimeter-long M.2 NVMe SSDs that are 80 millimeters long, and that M.2 (NGFF) connectors with a height of 4.2 millimeters must be used.
